Karine Otis

Since 2019, Karine Otis has been assigned to lead the final steps in the transfer of the federal port facilities by preparing the organization to take over the port of Baie-Comeau in 2021. Versatile and committed to her community, Karine had graduated from UQAM in Urban Studies and Political Science (B.Sc.) as well for Environmental Sciences (CSE). She also holds an Attestation of Specialized Graduate Studies from Laval University in Business Administration - Strategic Project Management.

 

Committed for nearly fifteen years in regional economic development, Karine has acquired deep knowledge of the territory and its social and economic potential. Well established in her community, she is recognized for her dedication, dynamism, sense of priorities and of course, her passion for her native region, the North Shore.

As President & CEO, she must ensure the sustainable growth of the new Port Authority, while remaining fully aligned with the mission, vision and direction set by the Board of Directors.

Originally from Baie-Comeau and holding a college diploma in civil engineering (DEC), Martin has nearly 20 years of experience in port operations. The port of Baie-Comeau no longer hides any secrets for him!

 

As Director of Operations & Maintenance and Harbor Master, he is responsible for planning and coordinating all port operations.

 

On the ground, Martin sees to the respect of the mission and the purpose of the port. For him, safety, agility and efficiency go hand in hand.

With a master's degree in business administration (MBA) and project management, Elizabeth began her career in the health sector where she was called upon to improve various processes and implement new services. Passionate about travel and oriented towards the world, Elizabeth ventured to the North Shore a few years ago with the aim of discovering new horizons and putting her expertise and knowledge to good use in the service of regional development.

 

As Director of Business Development & cruises, Élizabeth has the mandate to promote the potential of the port and the region both locally and internationally. Finally, it consolidates the links that unite us with our users and partners with a view to development and cooperation.

With a solid business acumen and an outstanding international track record of setting a strategic direction, identifying & securing corporate expansion opportunities, Emmanuel perfectly combines the qualities of a visionary and a seasoned expert.

 

Canadian and Dutch, he is recognized for being an organizational leader and for managing complex decision making processes across consortia of operating companies as well as for coaching senior specialists.

Characterized as being hands-on, Emmanuel’s role as Executive Advisor is to support the organization with it’s transformation and strategic development projects.
