ADMINISTRATOR
Véronique Gilain has led numerous studies and analyzes on several major projects on the North Shore as partner in charge of consulting services at Mallette Est-du-Québec, as an independent consultant and previously as industrial commissioner. Trained in industrial engineering, project management, telecommunications and environmental management, she is also a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Ms. Gilain has also assisted several large organizations in their strategic thinking and planning.

VICE-PRÉSIDENT
Martin Ouellet œuvre dans le milieu des affaires depuis 25 ans, d'abord au sein d'organisations économiques et ensuite à titre de député provincial. Diplômé en relations industrielles, il a commencé sa carrière dans l’industrie forestière avant d’occuper le poste de directeur général de la SADC de Manicouagan. En 2015, son dévouement pour la région l’amène à devenir député à l'Assemblée Nationale pour la circonscription de René-Lévesque. Porte-parole de l'opposition en matière de finance, il sera aussi le leader parlementaire de sa formation politique lors de son dernier mandat, qu'il a complété en 2022.

A chartered professional accountant and partner at Mallette in Baie-Comeau, Alain Rioux is responsible for the audit of several private companies and public organizations throughout the Côte-Nord region. Mr. Rioux assists business leaders and managers in understanding tax rules that are sometimes complex and full of exceptions. He has carried out numerous corporate reorganization and succession planning mandates. He actively practices in business purchase and sale mandates and obtaining financing.

VAICKUS
VICE-PRESIDENT
Brian Vaickus worked for Alcoa for nearly 35 years. Team leader, he coordinated the Transport Canada group for the transport needs of the three aluminum smelters in Quebec. Mr. Vaickus previously served as Supervisor of Port Operations as well as General Foreman of Port Operations during the transition from Reynolds to Alcoa. In particular, he has experience in crisis management, inventory management and international transport coordination.

BACON

Olivier Bacon has been an elected member of the Conseil des Innus de Pessamit since 2024. As the youngest vice-chief of the Council, he is notably in charge of the economic development and partnerships sectors. At the scale of the Nitassinan of Pessamit, he is actively involved in several boards of directors, working committees, and consultation tables. Mr. Bacon places reconciliation between peoples, innovation, and the promotion of culture and innu-aitun at the heart of his priorities.

ADMINISTRATOR
Currently director of the economic development department of the City of Baie-Comeau and very involved in her community, Marie-Josée Paradis was an economic development advisor for the Government of Quebec for twenty years. A graduate in business administration (UQAC), Ms. Paradis is known for her capacity for ideation, her political sense and as a person exercising positive and mobilizing leadership in her community.

BERUBE
ADMINISTRATOR
With a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Michel Bérubé was the general manager of Transport Québec (Côte-Nord) for nearly ten years. Involved in the maritime sector from the start of his career, he participated in the design of several wharves and harbors in Eastern Quebec. Mr. Bérubé has several years of experience in personnel management, financial management and transportation infrastructure management throughout the Côte-Nord region.

BOLDUC
OBSERVER
Graduated in economics from the Université de Sherbrooke, Brigitte Bazin has been working for 30 years within the Quebec public administration, mainly at the Ministry of Finance, the Executive Council, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests. She has also worked at the Société du Plan Nord and has been involved in various structuring projects, particularly in infrastructure projects. Proudly committed to the economic development of Quebec and its regions, she currently holds the position of Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy.
