DEPUTY GENERAL DIRECTOR

THE ROLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Corporation de gestion du Port de Baie-Comeau is a structuring organization for the region and it is in full growth. We are looking for the PDG's right hand: someone rigorous, autonomous, solution-oriented, who takes full ownership of what they carry. A key position, at the heart of the action.
STRATEGIC SUPPORT TO THE PDG
  • Reflect on and implement decisions from the general direction

  • Prepare analyses and supporting documents for the direction and the Board

  • Board minutes

  • Ensure continuity of internal operations in the PDG's absence

Finance and administration
  • Plan, organize and control all financial activities

  • Prepare documents for financial statements, dashboards and performance reports

  • Manage treasury, annual budget, internal controls and tax obligations

  • Collaborate with external auditors and act as the main contact with insurers

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations (payroll, hiring, onboarding, performance monitoring, etc.)

  • Be the internal reference for all administrative and HR questions

  • Ensure a healthy work environment and the evolution of internal policies

CANDIDATE PROFILE

ARE YOU THIS PERSON?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance or accounting

  • 7+ years in financial and administrative management, ideally in a multifunctional context

  • Experience with an executive direction or in a strategic coordination role

  • Proficiency in accounting tools and the Office Suite

  • Bilingualism French-English, both oral and written

  • Accounting and financial expertise

  • Ease with reporting tools and dashboards

  • Ability to bring structure where things are unclear

  • Professional judgment and high discretion

ANNUAL SALARY

Between $110,000 and $135,000, based on experience and skills
